Providing quality end-of-life care for older people is one of our biggest challenges in this new COVID-19 era. Advanced age, because of its association with a range of physical comorbidities, is associated with greater mortality with COVID-19. In ensuring optimal end-of-life care for this vulnerable population, the palliative and hospice care philosophy is critical.
